How would you make this Ariel Atom commercial better?

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . is the U.S. manufacturer of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and the Ariel Atom Spec racer. They have just released their first commercial which has left us kind of puzzled as it doesn't really tell much about the car, its performance, price, or specs, or availability, which is a shame. At the very least, the spot gives us some basic Atom porn… and that's always a good thing.

What would you have done to make this "commercial" better?

Wow, that commercial is missing the mark. The Atom is all about performance and visceral thrill yet the commercial is bland and flat. The shots have no color pass, shot on a fairly medium-wide lense with no sense of composition, speed, excitement, or magic. The few shots of the car on the track are boring and shot at what looked like mid day which is the exact time that you don’t want to be shooting, and the few shots during the morning were not used to their potential. If anything, it looks like color was pulled out. It appeared that there may have been some sort of Russian arm used for the moving shots so there was equipment available to get some great moving shots. Put a wide lense (12ish mm) on the camera and get down low and close as the car zips by and counter with the Russian arm, long lense (500mm +) from way back with an over cranked camera as the car smokes it tires around a turn, on car footage of the exposed linkages moving and working as the car flies down the track. Make sure the sun is low and allow it to back light the car, flares come through the smoke. Make it dramatic, make it have a point, make it have a soul. Ariel, lend me your car, track, and a Russian arm and I’ll do the rest.
